MedChain - Patient-Controlled Healthcare Blockchain

A Flask-based blockchain API for secure, encrypted medical record storage, featuring patient consent management and digital signature verification for data access control.

The Python Flask backend implements a full blockchain with core features: hashing, proof of work, transaction/node management, and consensus. Specialized endpoints handle encrypted medical records, requiring signature verification and an access list (stored with Fernet encryption using a key file `medical_encryption.key`). Authentication is handled via a service with JWT/API key support. The frontend (Next.js boilerplate) acts as the patient/provider portal for interaction.
